Winner of first Prize in Digital Collage Section @ Prix de la Photographie de Paris 2025
Updated: Sep 27

The winners of the prestigious international Prix de la Photographie de Paris™, held annually in the French capital, have been announced for 2025.
The award is an annual competition for professional photographers, amateurs, and students worldwide. The jury, composed of world-renowned photographers and critics (including Steve McCurry), selected the best entries in each photographic category.
As for Italian artists, it is worth noting that in the Fine Art Collage Non-Professional category, Marco Guenzi, an emerging artist from Milan, won first prize for his project “Paradoxically” (which also took second place overall in the Fine Art section).
Endowed with strong creativity combined with a well-rounded education (he holds a degree from Bocconi University), Guenzi has been creating digital collages for over ten years, depicting paradoxical situations that reflect the news and events defining our times. His simple and direct sense of irony, which even children can appreciate, prompts the public to reflect on the contradictions of contemporary society.

Concept:
I have poured my heart and soul into this project, which has spanned more than 10 years, from 2015 to the present. The idea arose from my observation of the contradictions and drama of the world we live in. In a way, we are all passive victims of what is happening around us. Every day we are bombarded with news, images, advertisements, and strange events coming from the media and the internet. So I chose to represent this disorientation through art, in a paradoxical and grotesque reality.
Today, billions of new images are created every day. It makes no sense to produce new ones. So I assemble them, using the style of memes, commercials, and fake news.
Works:

Miss Universe (2022)
